It uses a machine that propels steel shot at the surface to create a roughened texture that improves adhesion. Shot blasting concrete is an affordable and fast option of prep. Shot blasting is also the preferred method of prep of most coatings manufacturers as it produces excellent bonding characteristics to concrete and steel alike.
